Completed Handouts (more will be added as the course progresses)

  • Handout 1 : Signals, systems and feedback.
  • Handout 2 : Impulse responses, step responses and transfer functions.
  • Handout 3 : Stability and pole locations.
  • Handout 4 : The frequency response G(jw).
  • Handout 5 : An introduction to feedback control systems.
  • Handout 6 : Feedback stability and the Nyquist diagram.
  • Handout 7 : The design of feedback systems - an introduction.
  • Demos

  • Virtual Control Lab (Version 27/11/06) To run this on the DPO terminals, just type "vcl" in a terminal window (without the quotes).

The windows executable is here vcl.exe . (You will probably also need glut32.dll , put it in the same directory as vcl.exe).
