VAAC Harrier Control Block Diagram Internal Combustion Engine

Cambridge University's Control Group believes in the creative interplay between theory and challenging applications. Recent and current research areas include:

  • Robust control theory
  • Modelling and control of hybrid systems
  • Modelling and identification for control
  • Model predictive control
  • Control of constrained systems

These have been applied to:

  • Control of internal combustion engines
  • Passive and active automotive suspensions
  • Flight control of the VSTOL Harrier
  • Certification of flight controllers
  • Air traffic control
  • Control of telecommunication networks
  • Control of submarines

and other problems. (See also our publications list.)
