Quantifying Uncertainty and Robust Performance Using the nu-Gap

Abstract
The nu-gap metric is reviewed as a useful
tool for quantifying uncertainty and robust performance within the
framework of H-infinity loop-shaping. This metric has a natural
frequency-domain interpretation which, combined with particularly
sharp robustness results, facilitates the design of weights that
appropriately reflect robustness requirements within the H-infinity
loop-shaping framework.
