Background
Paul Goulart is currently a Lecturer in the Department of Aeronautics at Imperial College London.

He received a BSc (1998) and MSc (2001) in
Aeronautics and Astronautics from MIT. Prior to coming to Cambridge, he worked as a research engineer in the autonomous systems group at Draper Laboratory. From 1998 to 2002, he was a software developer in the flight operations group for the Chandra X-Ray Observatory. He was the first Gates Scholar to be selected from MIT, and received a PhD in Control Engineering in March 2007 under the supervision of Prof. Jan Maciejowski in the Department of Engineering, University of Cambridge.
