Bounded power signal spaces for robust control and modelling

With a view to performing robust control synthesis, we discuss various
notions of bounded power, which present an alternative to the more
familiar bounded energy (L_2) set-up, and are more appropriate for
persistent signals. Some problems with the classical spaces of
nonstationary signals introduced by Wiener and Marcinkiewicz are
discussed; modifications are suggested, and positive and negative
results are presented showing how they can be made the basis of
H-infinity analysis.
