Array Algorithms,Displacement Structure and Fast Modems
Prof. Tom Kailath (Stanford University)
The theme of the talk is the application of algorithms, better known in
state-space estimation theory and adaptive filtering, to problems in
communications, in particular Lucent's BLAST algorithm for wireless
applications, and symmetric DSL (Digital Subscriber Line) modems.
The talk does not assume too much background.
This talk will be a version of the Shannon Lecture that Prof. Kailath
gave in Sorrento in June. It should be of interest to those working in
comms, signal processing and control.
