Exact state-space correspondence to GPC: observer eigenvalue locations.

Maciejowski J.M. and Redhead S.N.,

Asian Control Conference, September 2002

Abstract

We have previously published an exact state-space representation of the GPC problem formulation, including the corresponding observer gain matrix. The fact that the non-zero observer eigenvalues coincided with the zeros of the disturbance model was inferred from the construction of the equivalent representation, but not proved directly. This paper proves this fact directly, for the particular representation employed. The development is given for the general multivariable case.
