| Background |
| Rohan received a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechatronics from the University of Queensland in 2006, with first class honours and a University Medal. His final year thesis, entitled "Modelling and Automated Digging Control of a Cable Shovel" was completed under an intern scholarship from the Cooperative Research Centre for Mining. He was subsequently employed by the centre as a research engineer, working on scale modelling and automation of excavation machinery. In September 2008, he commenced PhD studies with the control group. Rohan is the recipient of the 2008 Sir Robert Menzies Memorial Scholarship in Engineering as well as an Honorary Poynton Cambridge Australia fellowship. Rohan received his PhD in July 2012. |
